George was a good sport yesterday and took me to the Treasures Antique Mall in Springville yesterday. I bought a couple of Valentines and was going to call it a day...when I heard this sweet little white and red Wolverine fridgie calling my name. I answered sweetly, "For only $25...you can call me any time!" I've enjoyed the fun posts around the blogs lately about dear little stoves and darling doll houses.
This little fridge is in really nice shape...just needs a little cleaning...which I didn't do before snapping the picture! I plan to give the cute couple a home on my laundry room counter as soon as I rearrange a few things. I wish I had taken my camera as there were two more stoves...both different from mine. One was made in West Germany. I also saw a toy washing machine with wringer. As I was wasting time today, I found a bunch of pictures on Pinterest of toy kitchen appliances, so I thought I would share some of them.
For the Love of Tin Kitchen Toys!
I have probably pinned this cupboard more than once!

Every now and then I find myself trying to buy my childhood back.
Even if I can't go back there to stay...I sure wish I could visit for a while.
Do a little shopping maybe?

Hey Shirley, this little darling set is cute as pie. I bet Loretta would love it too, but I'm not telling her about it. She's got enough stuff as it is.lol! I like this set a lot. Take care

Hi Shirley, Your new little kitchen is adorable.
What a wonderful collection:)
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Oh my, I love these little toy kitchen sets. And I do understand the idea of buying back your childhood. I recently wrote a post about a paper doll set that I played with as a child. I found the same paper dolls on ebay and bought them. Your kitchen set is adorable!
I never even had any of the toys I collect, so I know I'm trying to buy a childhood I never had!
Great set you got there missy.
Hugs,
Meri
I'm so glad you found your DREAM KITCHEN! I had a cardboard kitchen set, about 30" high, battery operated stove burners that turned on, a pump in the sink to do dishes with. And then it was on to the ironing with my pink and turquoise ironing board and the electric iron that really heated up (barely!) to do my dolly clothes up in style! Oh yes, buying back our memories of the days of yore.
Love your cute kitchen set! So adorable! Have a great week! xo Heather
The Fridge is so cute Shirley!
I love this post too.
I have that pink oven with the food in it from Germany. I got it at an Estate Sale last summer for $5.
Yes, we are all trying to buy back our childhoods! My Ebay purchaces include: Vintage Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, and Care Bears etc. LOL
Erica :)

What a great find! I too love collecting things from my childhood. I had a little stove that would steam called "The Little Dutch Kitchen". It was adorable. The song said "It's the little dutch kitchen with the make believe steam; it's the prettiest kitchen you've ever see!" Haven't found it yet! Maggie
LOVE your new old fridgie! I have a little stove that I need to make room for in my kitchen. No, actually I need a bigger kitchen to fit more vintage kitchen junk!

Thank you so much for the kind comment today on my blog. I was very nervous about this post, it wasn't meant to be about my husband, but as you said, caring for those who need a helping hand. I just got a little stove, by the way. It's red!
I'm a sucker for toy kitchen sets. Love your latest acquisition. If it ends up missing, you'll need to visit me in MI. Hugs.

I'm home after nearly a month away. Our little grandson was two weeks overdue and had a pretty rough birth. All is well for him and his mommy now. Thank God for His faithfulness and for so many answered prayers.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your pretties from Viv!

Oh my gosh Shirley, I was at the Antique Mall a week ago. I saw that same fridge and just about bought it. I thought it was an awesome price. I have quite a few vintage toys and resisted. After I got home I regretted it. So happy to see that it went to a good home. I saw the other things that you mentioned. Loved them all! The different ones you showed are so sweet.
hugs,
Jann
What sweet little kitchen sets those are!! I've been to your lovely blog before, and i'm not sure why I'm not following yet!?! ~Today I'm your newest follower! I think we both participated in one of Tammy's swaps "Hometown days?" :) Happy new week! Excited to follow along!
ps. I love the picture of our grandma on the horse in your header :)
Hugs, Holly
Shirley, I think those pieces are to die for! I had a stove, but had to get rid of it cuz there really isn't room in my house. About ten years ago, before my house fire, I had a toy ringer washer - it was so awesome! Wish I still had it!
